Backflow Test Service
What is a Backflow Prevention Device?
A backflow prevention device is used to protect clean water supplies from contamination and pollution. In water systems, the water is maintained under pressure. When this pressure decreases due to high demand, burst pipes, or other factors it may allow contaminated water from the ground to enter the clean water supply through sprinkler systems and other sources. Backflow prevention devices stop the contaminated water from flowing into our clean water supply. State of Ohio regulation requires that backflow preventers be tested annually to ensure that they are functioning properly.
